Area Attractions

Plan to visit some of our area attractions when you attend "a Gathering on the Prairie" Country Primitives Show and Sale.

Arthur-Amish Country Visitor Center
The Arthur-Amish Country Visitor Center is located on the corner of Vine & Progress streets in a replica old train station. Local Amish countryside maps and area brochures are available. There are handicap accessible rest rooms and a large free public parking lot, including bus parking.

The Great Pumpkin Patch
A short distance from the Otto Center is The Homestead Bakery at The Great Pumpkin Patch. The Homestead Bakery is a family-owned business on the original homestead farmland settled in 1859 by Frank McDonald. The sixth generation continues to work the land and now is also proud to offer high quality, made-from-scratch baked goods.

Amish Interpretive Center
The Amish Interpretive Center located in Arcola includes a museum, gift shop and video show of the history, lifestyle and faith of the Old Order Amish. The staff can arrange farm and home tours or a meal in an Amish home for you.

Flesor's Candy Kitchen
A stop in Tuscola at Flesor's Candy Kitchen will delight anyone who appreciates quality hand made candy. The Flesor sisters Ann and Devon recently re-opened their Greek immigrant grandfather's shop which was established in 1901 and closed in the late 1970's. The building has been restored and you can enjoy lunch in an antique booth or sit on an original stool at the marble bar and enjoy homemade ice cream from the soda fountain.
